Rice Lake Utilities maintains an electric distribution system that services over 5,900 customers in the City of Rice Lake and the Town of Rice Lake. Electric utility staff are responsible for maintaining a substation with current capacity of a 75 megawatt and more than 295 miles of overhead and underground lines. Over 1,300 transformers regulate voltage measured by 6,141 customer meters. Total capital assets of the electric utility are valued at over $17 million dollars.
